Alcon

Immersive Sales App

Starting at Ground Zero

This immersive sales app was produced from a solid foundation. I led multiple client discovery sessions with agency content strategist before we dove into UI / UX design to inform wireframes prior to creative copy and design content.

Project managed client, development team, agency account, and creative team throughout an agile development approach. We started creative with navigation and framework functionality as we phased in design content and assets in a waterfall fashion to the development team. I was responsible for user testing and feedback of each phase leading up to delivery release and refinement.

Features

We brought in details including 3D modeling with expandable hot spots, video demonstrations of components, touch-screen user interface displays, animated charts showcasing equipment comparison, equipment tech timeline, and virtual product demos with surgeons from all over the world discussing their use case experiences.

We also designed into the UX a back side of the app as a demo manager so Alcon Sales reps would have everything they needed to take notes, schedule follow-up emails or delivery of physical machines to their clients for demo.

This immersive app took Alcon sales reps from using printed sell sheet brochures and powerpoint decks to a whole new level of detailing Alcon’s technology offering.

Outcome

At launch, the campaign messages changed how surgeons thought about how they performed cataract surgery, driving a 52% increase in the systems interest. In fewer than six months, Alcon sold 275 CENTURION® units, greatly exceeding client expectations.
